Owner: This award winner makes effective use of concrete products to create a structure theme inspired by a Mandan Indian earth lodge. The environmental stewardship of the energy and construction industry is evident in this facility through the recycling of coal combustion products throughout the building, from the cultured stone and wallboard to ceramic tile, carpeting and shingles. Considering the integral colored concrete floors and the other cement/coal combustion based building components, this award winning project is a true showcase for concrete product options.
