Owner: Speed of construction was a major reason the owner switched from a steel frame structure to the insulated concrete form (ICF) wall systems for this project. The five-man wall crew was on site for only seven days for this 8,320 square foot
commercial structure. In addition to construction speed, other benefits of this ICF system include fire resistance, sound
proof walls, high wind load resistance, heating and cooling cost savings, and long life. The architect-specified split faced
colored concrete masonry units were combined with stucco for the outside. Such foresight will promote essentially a totally
maintenance free exterior.
