Precast concrete again comes to the rescue in providing a quality work environment for the owner. Using precast wall panels, double 'T' roof members, and hollow-core floor panels, the owner will realize the ultimate in durability, strength, energy efficiency, and economics with the prestressed precast concrete option. The thermal lag created by the interior mass of concrete offsets temperature swings when the large overhead doors are opened and closed during temperature extremes providing quicker heat recovery. Aesthetically, decorative metal panels and columns on the office portion compliment the textured precast concrete wall panels. Variation in surface texture is enhanced through the use of a recessed horizontal demarcations which terminates the raked pattern. Most important, however, is that the building provides optimum protection from fires, tornadoes, and other natural disasters, ensuring that the community of East Grand Forks will always have their services restored quickly, even in bad times!
