Civil Engineering, CME & Architecture Deadline: December 5th, 2008
The
North Dakota Ready Mix & Concrete Products Association invites
all students in Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Construction Management & Engineering at NDSU, and UND students of Civil Engineering to apply for a scholarship
to be given in January 2009.
As
part of the application process, you will be required to write
a two page essay regarding your plans after graduation and how
they relate to the concrete industry. This essay is important,
as the scholarship winners will need to show a genuine interest
in the concrete industry. This matter can also be enhanced by
the type of coursework you are taking, plus your work experience
with concrete and the construction industry. Good examples of
work related experience would be employment by concrete contractors,
ready mix suppliers, cement suppliers, testing labs, DOT's, county
or city highway departments, consulting engineers, etc.
In order to verify your coursework and GPA, applicant will need to release a copy of official transcript through the Department Secretary to verify grade point average as listed in application in order to fulfill requirements for final release of scholarship funds
